Would you like to join the DAQAA Board?
Have you ever thought about becoming a member of our board?
As required by our bylaws, the Des Moines Area Quality Assurance Association holds an election annually in October to fill the positions on our board for the upcoming year, beginning in January.
Serving on the board is a great opportunity to be involved in the planning of our monthly meetings by helping to decide on topics, activities, presenters, etc. It’s a great way to meet new people, get involved in the QA community, and boost your resume. If you would like to discuss what is involved with one of the current board members, please email us at: [email protected].
DAQAA holds a regular membership meeting the 2nd Wednesday of each month. Additionally, the board meets once a month, usually the 4th Thursday of the month.
You can find a list of current board members on our About page. There will likely be at least one opening on the board. Like every organization, no one person can do it all. Everyone on the board is a volunteer, and we all do the best we can to make our meetings fun and worthwhile. If you’d like to volunteer, whether on the board or in some other capacity, we will find a way to get you involved!!
In order to serve as an officer on the board (President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer), you must have been on the board for at least a year. All other positions are open, to QA professionals and recruiters alike.
For more details on each position, please click the link below.
If you’re interested in running for a position, please submit the Intent to Run form by September 30th!!
Stay tuned for more info regarding our upcoming meeting on October 12th.
