DAQAA: The Modern Tester

There has been a push in the industry around testers learning how to write code. While some testers embrace this many others are hesitant or just not interested. This has stoked some fears around what place these testers have on a team. In this talk I’ll be discussing things modern testers should know or be learning:
  • Comment and review PRs
  • Participate in 3 amigos conversations both for business and implementation
  • Comment on risk around implementation
  • Pull down changes to run and test locally
  • And more…

Kylee is a developer with a passion for testing. Moving from hobby developer to cutting his teeth at a silicon valley startup as a tester he has worked for several enterprise companies bringing his unique perspective to level up both developers and testers. He’s spoken at several local user groups and conferences trying to spread that message. With a passion for teaching and coaching on these topics he is also the Chair of Education for DAQAA.
